My colleague looked at me and then said, 'Well, it looks like your garden ????" "Uh, my garden - Just tag your newspaper for the next time we meet!"

Jyske Bank - Catwalk

It was good enough Jonas who won in Køge Department - Jyske Bank competition.

They searched a dog who could commit themselves in front of a camera, and it might like to look a little funny. In other words searched Jyske Bank after an ordinary dog to run some of each.
Jyske Bank's staff was in no doubt that it was Tobias who should have won, and I can understand them.
No doubt that he loved being on the "scene" and he was never in doubt that it was about him. When he came into the bank, and if he could, he turned front feet up: "So here I am" The banker I
spoke to had several times turned to his colleagues and say: "Look at that guy - see him, he want biscuits" "You know, he has been in the Dog and Dog with Thomsen", etc. . etc. Tobias was around also visiting the other employees in the bank and they said hello, and Tobias got a pat on the head. What, however, an outgoing young man, I thought. Tobias came back after he visited the box, where a customer should have changed money. The treasurer showed the customer at the right of changemachine, and beside the customer was Tobias. "Is this your dog?" Said the customer to the treasurer. "No, the dog belongs over there at the desk - The dog is in the competition" replied the cashier. Tobias was photographed for the competition - and he looked like a winner. It suited him very well, being part of the commotion in the bank that day.
Jonas was also photographed. It was Jonas who won in Køge Department - Jyske Bank competition. The staff at the bank had agreed that now that Tobias had been the star of the television program, dog and dog from, so it was Jonas who now had the honor of being able to call himself the winner of the catwalk

Studio recordings were produced on 18 December of that same year, and my younger brother Michael, who was with my mother, as a spectator had a birthday that day. The program was completed and was shown around. 1 year after the first shooting began.

Poul Thomsen came to Ballerup ridingclub

I leafing through the Agility magazine and on the backside I saw that there was something advertised about "Poul Thomsen would visit agility club in Ballerup" Why on earth would he do it, he lives in Aarhus? I read the advertisement through once, and found out that it's obviously all about Dog & Dog between, because you can not say Thomsen without also saying maze and agility.
On 6 March 1997 we drove to Ballerup, and there we met several of them we have seen in the programs.

We had got to fill out forms about work and hobby, dogs race, and family names mm. and the forms could be "spiced" with some funny comments. We were also photographed for the archive (so DR could remember the families). We had all in all a fun and pleasant evening with friends from agility sport. We were told that we would receive a letter if we were to participate in the quiz, and in late May, then dumped into the letter through the letterbox. We were meeting in Aarhus, probably on 9 May 1997th We did planned the day and Malene (My little brother's daughter) got off from school. Everything was organized and we were coming.
Tobias was obviously the big tour through both volume shampoo and "coat extension" because now he should shown up for "half the kingdom" and at same time be a pretty representative of the breed.

The first time in the studio

We met Jeanette, and Sheba (American Peak) at the crossing Kalundborg - Aarhus, and followed the rest of the way. But we all agreed that we would sit together in a larger room with windows looking onto the pitch.
OES'eren Brezy (On the big picture together with Tobias and Poul Thomsen), was on the pitch just before us, and we were very excited about how everything should be done. Brezy are vet Birgitte Schjøtt's breeding, and a little funny is it that she had helped both Tobias and Brezy to the world.

Then came the turn to Tobias. Tobias had to first get through the maze, and there was not anything with a test first, nay it was straight and hard! Tobias, go into maze, and locate so Malene at the end of maze. Malene might call on Tobias 2-3 times, and because it was not enough to lead him through the maze had to "Mother" through the maze too. I can remember I tiptoed and whispered to Tobias, for all was very quiet so I thought that it was probably meant that there was totally quiet! But no, sound being added later, we realized when we sat in the studio and saw that Malene called Tobias a great many times. In fact it was when we came out of the maze, that Malene was squatting, and camera man sat in front of her and record the sound while she called Tobias in different ways, so that it is it. We all laughed a lot from the turn through the maze, and we had this feeling like it took forever.
We saw no Monrad & Rislund on the pitch. They receive only the tape recordings when they are edited into a finished program, then put the sound on.

Agility course

Agility course went a little better, but I was a little nervous about Tobias could handle all of the scaffolding, lights, cameras, people and things that were put up around the track, because even though he exhibits self-assurance, he is at heart a "soft" being when it comes to new and unfamiliar situations. But Tobias enjoyed the great attention to his "Person" exactly as when he is in the show ring. Even when attempts were made with a camera on the boom, where he would come up and walk / run over the boom and towards the camera, so he went over the camera, as if there never had been a camera. We were all very surprised, and all was wild and very excited for him. At one point he was not just to see and I looked with my "hen manes" after him and where I found him so? Tobias was the middle of the circle of technicians and cameramen, and was patted on the head and listened eagerly after all "roses" they had for him.

Weeklies Here and Now

Weeklies Here & Now was visiting that day, do an article about Poul Thomsen, and the many dog quizzes he has made. The result was many funny pictures of dogs and Thomsen. The article appeared in Here & Now on 10 July 97th
So we were told that we would receive a letter around October, if we were selected among the 34 out of 36 families with dogs, which had been for outdoor shooting (There were two families in the reserve).

Day on December 18.

We got the letter in mid-October, and we should meeting for studio recording, 18 December 97th We had audience tickets for the family, and my little brother had a birthday that day so we had birthday on both crossings. It was a long day in the studio, we met at little over. 15 and we were greeted everyone, drank a cup of coffee, and then was then meeting with the makeup artist. The girls had put the hair, colored red lips and a little color was then also placed on the cheeks. The boys got patted their damp foreheads with a puff.
So we were briefed in the studio, not us humans, but it was a test recording with Tobias and Shadow. We then went to the cafeteria and ate everything we wanted, we just had to mention that we participated in the quiz.

The broadcast has one of the highest rating

Children´s book

As I mentioned in the broadcast, when Poul Thomsen asks me: "And Susanne, you writing on a children's book, is not that right?" I still´s writing on, and the notes are still probably stored and it will be some years yet.
Children's book is Tobias's stories from his imaginative, creative and active life. His many travels and all his friends. How to procure food, even when there is no food for miles around. His behavior and his desire for how a real life should preferably take out, that it fit in "his little manual" of how the right dogowner should behave - Now that the dogowner had chosen a Bearded Collie as him. How he managed always to cover his needs before everybody else got our need deck.
